[edit] Hello, I'm Magnolia677. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Sam Livingston, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 17:42, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Sam Livingston, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:35, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- I was working on it. I had added 2 references and your overzealous deleting caused me to lose my 2 references in progress. NOT HELPFUL. I know that I am not adept at making the edits but really? Couldn't give me a few minutes to try to get it corrected??? GordCalgary (talk) 19:43, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- First, what you are adding is "cruft". Wikipedia isn't a collection of huge quotes. It's just going to keep getting deleted. I suggest you trim it to something short and relevant. Also, please use your sandbox for draft edits. Finally, please see Help:Referencing for beginners. Thanks for your understanding. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:54, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- Even if your comment about the quoted portion are correct, there were other parts that you deleted - baby with the bath water. In the end, you have encouraged me to not make any more future attempts to improve wikipedia content. Also, I am questioning whether I will make any more financial donations to wikipedia in the future (I have made many in the past). Congratulations for your impacts.
