Dear Wikipedia Administrators,
I respectfully request a review of the indefinite block placed on my account in connection with the creation of the article about the Evolute Institute. I now understand that the article may have violated Wikipedia’s content policies, particularly regarding promotional tone and conflict of interest, and I take full responsibility.
My intent was to provide informative and verifiable content about a growing organization in the field of leadership development. However, I now realize that: Parts of the article may have been written in a tone that appeared promotional or overly favorable.
I am committed to respecting Wikipedia’s guidelines and avoiding any promotional activity in the future. I kindly ask that you consider lifting the block, and I would welcome the opportunity to contribute in a more constructive and policy-aligned manner moving forward.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Request reason:

Hello, I understand that my account was blocked for advertising or promotion. I apologize if my edits gave that impression. My intention was to contribute useful information, not to promote anything, i'm really amazed by the work the institute is doing, and i also found independent media talking about their work. I really want more people to know about their approach to leadership they have, something that world is urgently needing for tackling the crisis we are experiencing. I have now reviewed Wikipedia’s guidelines on neutral point of view and promotional content, and I will make sure to comply with them strictly in the future. I kindly request reconsideration of this block. Thank you. Fnikli (talk) 15:08, 3 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Per conversation below. Please be as careful as possible around this WP:COI, at least until you have more non-COI editing experience to draw on. asilvering (talk) 10:06, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request for unblock

[edit]

Hello,

I would like to respectfully request an unblock. I understand that I was indefinitely blocked due to the promotional tone in the article I created, I've realized that my excitement and personal involvement with the topic led me to present it in a way that was not in line with Wikipedia's neutrality standards.

The subject I was writing about is something I genuinely believe is important and highly relevant in today's complex global context. I participated in a retreat connected to this approach to conscious leadership and felt inspired to help make it more visible. However, I understand that the article I created could be understood as promotional, but I haven't found another organization doing what Evolute Institute does, that is why I really want them to have more visibility.

I have since taken time to read Wikipedia's policies carefully, including those on neutral point of view, notability, and conflict of interest. I am committed to contributing in a proper way and I am open to guidance to ensure that my future edits fully comply with community standards.

I respectfully ask for a second chance to contribute constructively. Thank you for considering my request.

Best regards, Fnikli (talk) 11:26, 3 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Fnikli (talk) 15:09, 3 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Fnikli, this sounds a bit like you have a WP:COI with the topic, but it's not quite clear what it is. That's ok - you don't have to tell us exactly what your COI is, so long as you're not being paid, and it doesn't sound like you are. But it does mean that you should declare your COI when you submit the draft, and you should follow the guidelines at WP:COIEDIT to make edits to it once it's in mainspace. Do you understand? -- asilvering (talk) 23:18, 3 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your answer and your guidance. I completely understand the point, and I'll make sure to follow the WP:COI guidelines. And yes, I'm not being paid for this. Fnikli (talk) 09:19, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Jimfbleak, any thoughts on unblock? -- asilvering (talk) 09:33, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Fnikli, I have no objection to asilvering unblocking you, but you need to understand that if you continue to write about the same topic, there is a degree of risk involved. You have limited editing experience, so to avoid a reblock, you should take your time and mak sure your efforts are fully compliant Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:49, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
