Hello, please stop trying to add your file to the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association page. If you did in fact get it from here, that image has no associated source and cannot be trusted to be real. If you are indeed a researcher and can attest that the logo was used historically, please show sources that prove this and I can try to help you figure out the file issue. Cheers and happy editing, :-) postleft ✍ (Arugula) ☞ say hello! 18:47, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Well that image which was posted by me was the original logo of the HSRA. If you doubts regarding it then there are sources for clarification. Instead its my request please stop showing fake news and propaganda. Nalini Bagchi moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Nalini Bagchi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Cut & paste moves

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Nalini Bagchi. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:46, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Malwinder Jit Singh Waraich requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.indiatoday.in/opinion/vikas-kahol/story/preserving-the-past-a-labour-of-love-for-him-137637-2011-07-16. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notice

The article Naba Jibon Ghosh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough in-depth coverage to show that they meet WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. [edit]

Hello, Chingaaribera. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Dinesh Chandra Majumdar".

Proper way to insert images in infoboxes

[edit]

Hello @Chingaaribera. I am @Archer1234. I noticed your recent edit to Harsha where you added an image to the infobox. I want to let you know that the way you added the image was not done according to Wikipedia's Manual of Style (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE).

When adding an image to an infobox, thumbnails should NOT be used. Simply supplying the file name will work. For example, to use File:Image PlaceHolder.png, you can simply use |image=Image PlaceHolder.png. Captions should be specified with the |caption= parameter. Every infobox is different and the documentation for the infobox in question should be consulted for the proper parameters to match the image and caption.
To fix

Do not use the full image syntax:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead, just supply the name of the image. So, in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg

and optionally:

|caption=Some image caption.

Hopefully you will find this information useful for your future editing. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. — Archer1234 (talk) 14:21, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again @Chingaaribera. I see that your recent edit to Basanta Kumar Biswas also improperly inserted an image in the infobox. I tried to explain above the proper way to insert images into infoboxes, but perhaps my explanation was not clear enough. Do you have any confusion over how to do it properly? Thank you. — Archer1234 (u·t·c) 18:28, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kamal Nath Tewari, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lahore Conspiracy Case. Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thumbnails in infoboxes

[edit]

Information icon Hi Chingaaribera, thank you for your contributions. Please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Some of your recent edits have added thumbnails to infoboxes, which should not be used. Instead of using the full image syntax |image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]], you can just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply use |image=SomeImage.jpg and optionally |caption=Some image caption. Please see MOS:IBI for further details. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm CX Zoom. An edit that you recently made to Benoy Basu seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you for editing Wikipedia. However, please avoid the use of AI and LLMs to write article content as they more often than not violate multiple content guidelines on Wikipedia. It is always preferable to write article content in your own language. CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {CX}) 14:44, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Chingaaribera: Please stop using AI to write article content. It is a blockable offense. If you really need to use AI, you must explain yourself here first. CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {CX}) 19:06, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I received your email. My assumption that you are using AI arises from the fact that section headings read like chapter names from a fictional detective story book, rather than an encyclopedic entry about a real-life person: "The Elusive Escape"; also "The Writers’ Building Attack: A Revolutionary Masterstroke" uses filler words after the colon similar to what you'd find in story books (at Benoy Basu). The section "Background : Early activities" (at Chittagong armoury raid) is also non-standard, "Background" itself is self-sufficient as the section title which does not need additional description. But, it might be that you are not using AI (which is good), and this is simply a false positive from my side.
Also, feel free to respond here itself. It's better to communicate here because when you email someone, that person receives your real-life email id. It is better to avoid emails unless it is a top-secret talk. Thank you. CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {CX}) 12:34, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nirmal Kumar Sen moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Nirmal Kumar Sen. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has large unsourced sections, it has a tone unsuitable for Wikipedia and clearly NOT ready for main space. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. TheBritinator (talk) 12:05, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dear TheBritinator, I hope you're doing well. I'm pleased to share that I've finished revising my Wikipedia article to ensure it meets the platform's standards for a professional, neutral, and encyclopedic tone suitable for public viewing. After carefully reviewing the original content, I restructured and rewrote portions to maintain objectivity and clarity, in line with Wikipedia's editorial guidelines. This involved eliminating any promotional phrasing, verifying facts, and organizing the article to enhance readability and compliance with Wikipedia’s policies on neutrality, reliable sourcing, and verifiability. The revised version is now well-suited for publication on Wikipedia. Below, you'll find the my updated article draft for your review: Draft:Nirmal Kumar Sen - Wikipedia Please take a moment to review the draft and share any feedback or additional details you’d like to incorporate, as long as they align with Wikipedia’s guidelines. Once you’re satisfied, I can assist with the submission process for review or publication. Thank you for trusting me with this project. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Warm regards, Chingaaribera Chingaaribera (talk) 13:56, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
ChatGPT replies tend to be obvious. You engaged in WP:USURPTITLE by copying the content of the page Nirmal Kumar Sen to Nirmal Sengupta, without attribution, and then creating this article. What a mess; hopefully, someone can sort this out.Vinegarymass911 (talk) 15:50, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for raising this. I'll fix it. @Chingaaribera: you may create new articles or drafts (but do not hijack existing articles to write about another person). If you think that any article is at the wrong title, request it to be moved at WP:RMTR. CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {CX}) 00:32, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

In future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox, as this is against the Manual of Style. When adding an image, supply only the filename to the |image= parameter and the caption to the |caption= parameter instead. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using; please consult the Template page for the infobox being used on that page for proper instructions and documentation.
