AWBSchools

[edit]

I don't know if its an inherent problem with AWBSchools, but at Downham Market Academy when correctly removing "Dr" as the principals title, you also removed the Dr from Drama leaving "ama and music" - best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 10:53, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. Sometimes it does come up with false positives... Leaving the regex to include these is partly deliberate, however, as it forces me to be more diligent with reviewing the edits. Evidently this one snuck through. Thanks for your diligence and WP:AGF! I've found a temporary solution in expanding the AWB window so I can actually preview everything at once without scrolling :) MIDI (talk) 10:59, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No significant coverage in independent reliable sources to establish notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Information icon Hello, I'm Peaceray. An edit that you recently made to Alexis Kougias seemed to be a test and has been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Peaceray (talk) 18:35, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Peaceray:. Could you please explain what flagged this to you as an editing test? My edit was removing the bolded quote marks per MOS:NICK – admittedly my edit summary quoted MOS:BOLD, but either way I don't see why this appeared to be a test or should've been reverted. Thanks, MIDI (talk) 20:08, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Smiley Sorry! You are correct, I was mistaken. Peaceray (talk) 20:14, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No worries - happy editing! MIDI (talk) 20:14, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Circa

[edit]

I don't mind your change from "on or before" to "c.", but Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Biography/2025 archive § Death announcements with no exact death date thought differently. Best. —Bagumba (talk) 10:17, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough – thanks for alerting me to that discussion. May weigh in there, and User:MIDI/Auntie_Mabel can be expanded with some of the views given there too. MIDI (talk) 10:36, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Nice. I might be over-compensating for an extreme case like Fritz Peterson, whose actual death ended up being months before the announcement. No family is under obligation to make things public ASAP. I'm looser with using circa maybe than others, but have a peeve (from Peterson) with assuming the death date is the same month with no "c." or equivalent. Any thoughts to move the essay to WP namespace? Editors referencing shortcuts might be better to form consensus than discussions (that get minimal input). —Bagumba (talk) 10:48, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
