Hello, Bidgoodl! Welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are a course instructor leading a class project or assignment. If you're new to Wikipedia or want to learn about best practices for Wikipedia assignments and class projects, we highly recommend that you go through the our training page for instructors.
The training includes instructions for setting up a structured course page and with tools for tracking student work and encouraging peer review. I also highly recommend that you review the advice for instructors page.
If you run into problems or want some feedback on your Wikipedia assignment plans, try posting to the education noticeboard.

While editing:
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Be bold, but do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- Provide reliable sources to the content you add. If you are adding biomedical information, please follow this guideline.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay with us as a member of the community - even after your teaching assignment is finished. Your time, energy, and your contributions will be highly valued and appreciated among us.

- I am beginning to think that there is an intentional exclusion of this topic from Wikipedia by a bad actor with some sort of malicious intent. I have gathered that someone tried to post an article about Snodderly in the past, and it was similarly denied a spot on the site. I am mystified, as Snodderly meets the criteria for notability in the WP:MUSICBIO (as linked above)on at least FOUR points - the required amount is TWO:
- 1. The recent Bear Family Records box set of the Brother Boys (of which Snodderly serves as co-bandleader) includes liner notes (36 pages) by country music scholar Dr. Ted Olson. https://www.bear-family.com/brother-boys-on-the-honky-tonk-highway-with-the-brother-boys-2-cd.html?srsltid=AfmBOopWSYRvaBoqawgQfUgiTkjB3dBVkJ4HR2GlQRBtUc7AjCZWXpVy
- 5. Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable). [With the Brother Boys, released material on Sugar Hill, a prominent label in the acoustic/Americana field] https://www.discogs.com/artist/3083034-Brother-Boys?srsltid=AfmBOoqR3CiAg9VHmdy6JdV-rOl2ZaY8M76mmlEyg66YlxC96VsvJFWd
- 7. Has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most prominent of the local scene of a city; [As owner-operator of the Down Home venue, he has, for decades, created a forum for local performances in Johnson City; this venue has garnered the attention of many outside this region, including the New York Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/02/travel/where-the-hills-and-hollows-are-alive-with-music.html]
- 10. Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, such as a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film, inclusion on a notable compilation album. [He appeared in the film “O Brother Where Art Thou” - https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0811188/]
- After the article was tagged for removal, Snodderly was contacted by someone claiming to help people get their Wikipedia articles posted to the site, FOR A FEE. Again, it seems like a bad actor is trying to misuse the Wikipedia framework to extort money by preventing this page from going live. Bidgoodl (talk) 15:48, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

The article Bluegrass in La Roche has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
I can find zero in-depth mentions of this festival in independent, reliable sources to show it passes WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 09:07, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
