Articles for deletion

Well, you could see if the descriptions of that article Calito Soul validate and verify the relevance of that article. There was a user Safiel who opened the deleted query in search of a solution. So far the article describes the story of an artist without much reach. Try searching for him on Spotify and he doesn't have an account.

You could open a deletion query since that artist does not appear on Spotify, it seems to be non-existent https://open.spotify.com/artist/26zep9QB7xlFtbm4Aojvop?si=CN0JxneUTy-rC-LL9du8Hg
Another situation of that article is that it indicates that the singer died in 2015. When in reality he died in 2019, that article was created in a mysterious way https://m.metrolibre.com/cultura/calito-soul-esta-vivo-KCML10581 190.219.102.104 (talk) 02:13, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
I think you've reached out to the wrong person, friend. — Anonymous 02:21, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
I am an IP and I cannot create the AFD, you could create it. 190.219.102.104 (talk) 02:42, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
Sorry for the misunderstanding. It's been done. Feel free to make your case at the deletion discussion. — Anonymous 02:46, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
observe the reasons of Zzarch and Safiel for trying to eliminate that article, an article that in the Spanish version points out that the singer is still alive and reading the article there is nothing for which he stands out. 190.219.102.104 (talk) 03:08, 6 February 2025 (UTC)

Thomas Jefferson GA Nomination

Hi. You recently removed my nomination of Thomas Jefferson for a GA article saying it might be a “drive-by nomination”. Could you elaborate what you mean by this?

Firstly, I’m not sure how to check what percentage I am in the number of editors.

Secondly, what is a drive-by nomination? I’m not sure what you mean, but to me it sounds like it’s a nomination where someone just puts it up for GA and then doesn’t go back to it. I read through the article and thought it looked good, so I put it up for GA. While waiting, I would continue to re-read everything and fix it, like I’m doing with a different nomination of mine.

Lastly, what do you mean by “no message on the article’s talk page”? I have spoken on the talk page and replied to an edit request. In the reply, I also stated I was WORKING on upgrading it to GA status.

Please respond to me as soon as you can. Thank you. Ali Beary (talk!) 15:39, 23 February 2025 (UTC)

@Ali Beary: You have authored a very small percentage of the current article. It's not uncommon for newer users to nominate articles they happen to like without being prepared to actually undertake the review process, which is what is considered a drive-by nomination. For an article like this, I imagine the review process will be quite long and tedious, and it will take up a lot of time on the reviewer's part, so it's important that the nominator is truly prepared and invested. As for your message on the talk page, it had nothing to do with the GAN. If you are indeed prepared to undertake this challenge, then I suppose you are free to proceed. Reach out to me if you would like additional help. — Anonymous 15:55, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
I am prepared for this. On my first GA, I spent a month fixing tons of work on Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton. I am also waiting for a response for my GAN on John Laurens. I understand that nominations are a lot of hard work for both the reviewer and the nominee, but I’m prepared for it. Ali Beary (talk!) 16:00, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
In that case, good luck! — Anonymous 16:01, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
