- @100jan0vski Okay, go ahead and do that. Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 10:34, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- I want to keep my photos because i spend a lot of time to upload them, i'm a new Wikipedian and i need a help about the policy of pics, yes the pics are from the net not by me, i don't hide that fact. And i also want to keep them and I'm open for to cooperate about everything. 100jan0vski (talk) 19:49, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- @100jan0vski Wikipedia has a pretty strict image use policy (please click the links and read them!) and unfortunately, your own uploads do not meet the guidelines. You're welcome to take photographs yourself or find images that are in the public domain. But almost none of the images you find on the web are compatible with Wikipedia.
- Also, you did kinda hide the fact that they weren't your images when you marked them as your own work and removed the "no permission" tags. Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 19:56, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- Okey i want to keep them, can you please help me? Because you are a experienced and I'm a rookie 100jan0vski (talk) 19:59, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- @100jan0vski The only way to keep them is you contacting the copyright holders directly and asking them to release the photographs under a license that allows any use or modification, and then submit the copyright release to the volunteer response team. As the uploader, ensuring that images are correctly sourced and licensed is your responsibility. That's all the help I can offer. Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 20:31, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- The photos are from internet how i can found them or to contact the authors or copyrighters? Also some pics are old this a nonsense thing, and i'm pretty sure they even didn't know that them pics are somewhere uploaded so can we keep this like a secret? 100jan0vski (talk) 20:40, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- @100jan0vski If you found the photo on Facebook, contact the Facebook page admin. If you found the photo on a website, contact the website admin. If you don't want to do that, then don't upload other people's content. Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 20:53, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- The pics are from all of the internet and i can't contact them neither pics are from some web or Facebook, that's is the problem and that's the reason why i write nonsense, also they took them from someone else and they're not the real authors, when i choice what to upload i choose only copied material not an the original one 100jan0vski (talk) 21:03, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- @100jan0vski Like I said, Wikipedia image use policies are strict and they're enforced. I've given you all the help I can and the rest is up to you. Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 22:27, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- What i can do while i'm blocked? Nothing. So do we have some other solutions? I admitted that i uploaded an stolen material who someone other stolen also from some other and person that material it's not mine i just borrowed it what did you want next from me i write you everything about all the situation 100jan0vski (talk) 22:33, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- @100jan0vski I would respond to the deletion discussion that's linked on your talk page. I'd reach out to the reviewer who blocked you and explain how you understand you broke the rules and you will not upload other people's material without their permission again. And make sure you understand the copyright policy. Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 22:41, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

2026 FIFA World Cup controversies
[edit]So I did most of the writing for that section but I kind of have to create a weird way of being neutral. Writing is kind of a mixed bag for me and I kind of want to be a little careful of how things are phrased. I'm sure down the road we'll have a section that is dedicated to controversies.
Obviously compared to 2018 and 2022, there is a lot less controversy in terms of hosting choice beyond the fact there are multiple hosts and stuff with either Trump, the U.S. government, or the local state governments. I understand it's not perfect and I would agree on that but I don't really have much to actually work with. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 20:04, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
- @HalfOfAnOrange I think the issue you're running into is you're adding information about things that could potentially be issues. But Wikipedia articles are about things that have happened and things that exist. Yes, all those things you could talk about could be issues, but they aren't yet.
- Also, if you want to talk about concerns, they should be attributed to specific people, not general groups of people. Does this all make sense? Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 02:44, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yes. That's why I changed the focus away from Trump in general and more to the travel bans which are tied to him and were a prevoius and now current concern. HalfOfAnOrange (talk) 05:07, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
- I think that was a good shift in focus. Thanks for doing that. Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 11:57, 28 March 2025 (UTC)

Question on Brooke Raboutou removal
[edit]hi there, you removed my contribution to the article, saying I couldn’t cite the podcast as a reference for the podcast. My main goal is for this piece of media to be available to people. would it work if I provided a detail from the podcast and then cited it, e.g. Raboutou said “XYZ” in an interview with Alex Honnold (cite podcast). i’m new here and trying to figure out what is acceptable. any help is appreciated. thanks! KindPixelBarbie (talk) 11:24, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- @KindPixelBarbie Hi, thanks for leaving a message. A biographical article should only contain significant events in a person's life. I think we can agree that being interviewed by Alex isn't something that would lend notoriety to a person. Making a "piece of media to be available to people" isn't a valid reason to include something in an article (see Wikipedia is not a collection of links). you could use the podcast to, say, confirm biographical details, but that's something you'd want to avoid, since you're relying on someone's first-hand account, not a reliable souce that's been fact-checked. Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 16:12, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- Ok that is very helpful, thank you for explaining all that to me! @Adeletron 3030 KindPixelBarbie (talk) 21:48, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
