THE ADORABLE BIOGRAPHY OF A SERVANT LEADER
EARLY DAYS OF MAYANJA MOSES
The making of Mayanja Moses as a servant leader is a story never short of glamour. He believes that life is all about challenging odds even when circumstances don’t favor your aspirations. From overcoming all the adversities in a small war tone village straight to ballot paper as a member of parliament representing Busiro North Constituency is such an adulation enough to reckon with. Born in Kasudde village of Kyengeza Parish, Masuliita Sub-county, Busiro North on 25th November 1972, he has always lived life for one big reason, becoming an inspiration to his difficult youthful neighborhood, something he has achieved a great deal.
He believes that a successful birth to a bouncing baby boy is not enough when a boy lacks equitable access to social amenities. For he understands that the contemporary society is thriving on myriad of opportunities that he himself never had access to growing up in such a difficult neighborhood. He believes that it is more possible in his era that an aspiring youth can sip from the pots of wisdom of their well managing adults and leaders in positions of influence, something they never had access to during their growth. He nurtured his leadership aspirations in times when there was a handful of leaders at their disposal, speaking about the likes of the Late Samson Kiseka, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya and the rest.
HIS VISION FOR THE YOUTH
· YOUTH PARTICIPATION AND INCLUSION: Youth inclusion and participation in national development and leadership. He believes that the ground is a bit leveled for the youth to learn from he himself as a servant leader, the privilege that is more available to them now unlike his difficult days growing up. He inspires the youth to overcome their odds and challenge for positions of influence both in politics and in business. He doesn’t believe in settling in lamentation but rather responding to adversities through hard work, faith and innovativeness.
· EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION OF OPPORTUNITIES: He believes that equitable access to social amenities like schools, hospitals and roads will accelerate development and citizen participation in economic development.
EDUCATION PROFILE
Another pure inspiration follows his education background. From humble beginning of his education life at St Anne Primary school Kabowa into becoming founding director of the first ever PRIVATE INSTITUTION THAT TRAINS MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIANS IN 1997, first of its kind in the country.
He started his education far back at St Anne Primary school Kabowa, he advanced for his secondary school at Bugema secondary school, then to Makerere University where he majored in Economics at Bachelor’s level. He also obtained Certificate in Administrative law at Makerere university, Certificate of Computer application still in Makerere University, Certificate in management of BTVET institution in Germany. This was crowned up with Masters of Business Administration in one of the most prestigious institutions of leadership excellence from one and only East and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI).
LEADERSHIP.
One of his major leadership highlights dates away back in 2016, managing with Masuliita Town Council whose total revenue mobilization was just about 11 million Uganda shillings only, he still managed to turn around the difficulties that the small town council was grappling with and still rendered services amidst such a small resource envelope. His leadership journey follows the sequence below:
· Chairman LCIII, Masuliita Town council 2016 - 2021
· Candidate NRM Wakiso District LC5 2021 - 2026
· NRM Chairman Wakkso District 2025 - 2030
