"Undressed" is a song by American singer-songwriter Sombr. Written solely by Sombr and co-produced with Tony Berg, the song was released as a single on March 21, 2025, through Warner Records and Sombr's own imprint SMB.

The song became Sombr's breakout hit, alongside his 2024 single "Back to Friends", both of which entered several charts concurrently after going viral on the video-sharing app TikTok. The song topped the Irish Singles Chart and Latvian Airplay chart, and also peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, it has peaked within the top five in Australia, Lebanon, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, the top 10 in Norway, and the top 20 in Austria, Lithuania, Singapore and Sweden. It has been certified Platinum in Australia as well as Gold in Canada and New Zealand, and has accumulated over 300 million streams on Spotify.

Composition

"Undressed" was written solely by Sombr and co-produced with Tony Berg, who also produced Sombr's 2023 debut EP In Another Life.[1][2] Lyrically, the song speaks about not wanting to start a new relationship and reluctance to move on.[3][2] The song is composed in the key of C major with a time signature of 4
4, and has a tempo of 116 beats per minute.[4]

Commercial performance

"Undressed", alongside Sombr's 2024 single "Back to Friends", experienced a notable rise in on-demand streaming numbers after gaining virality on the video-sharing platform TikTok,[1] leading to its entry on various charts worldwide. On the Billboard Global 200, the song debuted at number 156 for the week ending April 12, 2025.[5] In its seventh week, it entered the top 20, rising to its current peak of number 11 in its tenth week.[6]

In the United States, "Undressed" debuted at number three on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart dated April 12, 2025.[7] The following week, the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 96,[8] becoming Sombr's second entry on the chart after "Back to Friends", which debuted the week prior.[1] In its third week, the song jumped 27 spots from number 84 to number 57,[9] and in its ninth week, it ascended to its current peak of number 25.[10] The song also charted on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, where it peaked at number three.[11] In Canada, the song debuted at number 78 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart dated April 12, 2025,[12] It entered the top 50 in its fourth week and later peaked at number 24.[13][14] It has been certified Gold by Music Canada.[15]

In the United Kingdom, "Undressed" debuted at number 65 on the UK Singles Chart. The following week, it entered the top 40 at number 37, and in its ninth week, it reached a peak of number four.[16] In Ireland, the song debuted at number 31 on the Irish Singles Chart and climbed into the top five in its fourth week, later peaking at number-one on May 16, 2025.[16] Elsewhere in Europe, it reached the top 20 in Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, and Sweden.[17][18][19][20][21]

In Australia, "Undressed" debuted at number 35 on the ARIA Singles Chart dated April 7, 2025.[22] In its sixth week, dated May 12, the song rose nine spots to its current peak of number two, behind "Ordinary" by Alex Warren.[23] It was subsequently certified Platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association.[23] In New Zealand, the song debuted at number 31 for the week beginning April 4, 2025.[24] In its ninth week, dated May 30, it climbed to number two.[25]

On May 13, 2025, "Undressed" surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, becoming Sombr's third song to reach the milestone. Less than a month later, on June 8, the number exceeded 200 million. On July 11, it has accumulated over 300 million streams.[26]

Music video

The music video, directed by Gus Black and featuring model Sephira Lily Street, was released on May 8, 2025.[27][28][29]

Live performance

On June 3, 2025, Sombr appeared on the BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge segment, performing "Undressed", alongside a cover of "Ribs" by Lorde.[30][31]
