You don't have to agree with everything but there is no excuse for rudeness and these things are best solved through consensus building and compromise. For more information see WP:CornwallGuideline.

The original comment makes no sense: she is the Queen precisely because she is a queen consort. They are not separate things. As the name suggests, she is a queen by virtue of being a consort. The same applied to all queen consorts in English royal history, without exception. The same will apply to Catherine too. Similarly, Elizabeth II was the Queen because she was a queen regnant. It would be outrageous to say "Elizabeth was not the Queen; she was the queen regnant" as if they're distinct things. It's like saying "I don't have a car; I have a red car", as if the descriptor "red" somehow made the thing distinct from being a car.--Vabadus91 (talk) 18:21, 20 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
"change Queen Camilla to Queen Consort Camilla". All references to "Queen Camilla" in this Wikipedia article should be corrected to "Queen Consort Camilla" because Camilla it is incorrect to refer to a Queen Consort as the Queen of England. Camilla's title was intentionally granted and limited by Queen Elizabeth of England, shortly before her passing, to "Queen Consort", which is a lower rank than "Queen". To call Camilla "Queen" and not "Queen Consort" is an egregious insult to the status of a "Queen" and to the specific intention of the late Queen Elizabeth of England. It's as incorrect as calling a Vice President of the United States as the President of the United States. Surely Wikipedia does not wish to distort reality by using the incorrect royal title in this entry. 2604:2D80:D689:1200:B447:BD4D:D7F8:A3A (talk) 14:42, 3 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This argument is incredibly tiresome now. As the consort to the king, Camilla is Queen, with consort indicating what type of Queen she is. Elizabeth II was Queen as she was sovereign, a queen regnant. Camilla is Queen because she is the kings consort. Queen Elizabeth did not bestow anything on Camilla. Just like her mother, and her grandmother, and her great grandmother etc, they were all consorts, and addresses as "Queen [Name]. When Elizabeth states it was her sincerest wish for Camilla to be recognised as Queen Consort - she did not stipulate she wished her title to be "Camilla, Queen Consort". Please refer to all royal consorts in the British lineage and please educate yourself. 92.21.157.113 (talk) 16:23, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
