Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Infobox should list October 18, 2024 as the release date per this being when the song was released as a single
  • "It was also serviced" → "The song was also serviced" which should mention the United Kingdom release instead of Italy since that came first
For some reason, BBC isn't fit for release history. I saw this somewhere on WP:Music archived discussions. dxneo (talk) 14:09, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This is used as a source for a release date though, so if that is the case why is it kept for there but not the lead? --K. Peake 14:09, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • "as it explores themes of" → "exploring themes of"
  • The lead is somewhat disordered; the frequencies should be the sentence after the initial release and the cover + remix should be the very last of the lead altogether
Listing multiple dates in the same paragraph can be somewhat confusing, I was once told to be careful of that on PR. dxneo (talk) 14:09, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My point still stands; this is disordered in terms of the information. --K. Peake 14:09, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
 Done dxneo (talk) 14:28, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • The Bubbling Under Hot 100 position should be removed
 Done dxneo (talk) 14:09, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • "artist to bag" → "artist to attain" to be more encyclopaedic
 Done dxneo (talk) 14:09, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add more chart positions to the lead as Hot 100 is only one; dedicate another sentence to certifications too
Nice. dxneo (talk) 14:09, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Background and release

[edit]
  • "on her socials" → "on her social media"
  • The writers and producers are not mentioned by the source
  • "it was released" → "the song was released"
  • The United Kingdom date is not shown as 18 October, also what usage does [6] have at the end of the sentence?
  • "It impacted the" → "The song impacted the"
  • Mention the cover being a mashup with PartyNextDoor's "For Certain" for context
Fixed them to the most of my abilities. "the song" is really discouraged at FA/FAC/FLC, I really think you should pass by sometimes. dxneo (talk) 18:58, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Composition and live performances

[edit]
  • Retitle to Composition since the live performances can go elsewhere
  • "and Mocha, it was" → "and Mocha, the song was"
  • Remove overly obvious wikilink on guitar
  • "It is a blend of" → ""Push 2 Start" is a blend of" starting a new paragraph here
  • "She explores issues of" → "Tyla explores issues of"but the source does not mention these analogies referring to cars specifically
ECR states that "Pushing on my buttons with no hesitation / Gas me up, give me motivation / So tell me where we going, pick a destination," she sings in the song. and The South African says In the song, she uses car metaphors to explore themes of attraction and commitment. She delivers lines that create a sultry atmosphere. dxneo (talk) 19:02, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Remove overly obvious wikilink on lyrics
  • Move the live performances to being a new para in the music video section instead
  • Remove overly obvious wikilink on New York City
  • "United Kingdom on 10 November," → "UK on 10 November,"
  • Mention when the homecoming tour was
  • Img looks good!
All  Done dxneo (talk) 19:02, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial performance

[edit]
  • This is the only form of reception listed; are you not able to find any reviews to add critics' opinions too?
Honestly can't find any, wanna help? dxneo (talk) 19:04, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • "In the United States, "Push 2 Start"" → "In the US, "Push 2 Start"" per MOS:US
  • "to bag multiple" → "to score multiple" to be more encyclopaedic
  • Remove comma before Miriam Makeba
  • "It also peaked at number 2 on the" → "It also peaked at number 2 on the US"
  • The source points to week 4, not 3, of 2025
  • "peaked number 23 on" → "peaked at number 23 on"
  • "and 105 in Portugal." → "and number 105 in Portugal."
  • "It was certified gold" → "The song was certified gold"
All  Done dxneo (talk) 19:04, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
dxneo You still need to change to number 105 and the week from the source is 4, not 3 here. --K. Peake 20:06, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't make it easy for me, that's why I couldn't fix it in time. Otherwise, I'm done and thank you so much for this. I look forward to working with you in the future. Although it looks like we both not that active anymore. dxneo (talk) 23:19, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
dxneo Thanks a lot, same to you and I've been less active as working full time! --K. Peake 07:15, 30 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Music video

[edit]
  • Retitle to Music video and live performances then move those here as the last para
  • Replace the comma with a semi-colon on img text, also add a full-stop at the very end
  • "leading the United States citizens to" ·=→ "leading American fans to" since the source specifies it was fans of Tyla's
  • The midnight time is not sourced
There's a tweet embedded in the source which says SAST, which is UTC+02:00 (for clarity, incase one doesn't know what South Africa Standard Time is). dxneo (talk) 19:12, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • You need to add a source confirming the comparison to "Crazy in Love"
 Done dxneo (talk) 19:12, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sean Paul remix

  • You should add background about what Sean Paul contributes to this remix, also remove the accolades sub section because that is one table

Footnote

[edit]
  • Remove this altogether

References

[edit]
  • Copyvio score looks pretty good at 31.5%
  • Cite Entertainment Tonight as work/website instead on ref 1
  • Fix MOS:QWQ issues with refs 2, 3, 10, 14, 56, 60 and 76
  • Fix MOS:CAPS issues with refs 7 and 62
  • I do not see any evidence of refs 15 and 27 being reliable; fix MOS:QWQ or MOS:CAPS issues if you can justify these being kept
  • Cite Showmax as publisher instead on ref 22
  • Cite OkayAfrica as publisher instead on ref 29
  • Ref 57 should either Briefly.co.za or MSN, which would only be publisher
  • Cite News24 as publisher instead on ref 80
Hello mate, any reason why I should switch from website to publisher? dxneo (talk) 19:22, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
These sources should not be italicised, as they are in current state. --K. Peake 14:09, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I dont think so. There's a reason why there's {{cite web}}, {{cite magazine}} and {{cite news}}. Take this source for an example, the website is News24 and the publisher is You, or this source where News24 is still the website, but City Press is the publisher. There's a guideline directed at this specific matter. dxneo (talk) 14:28, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]
  • Move the lyric video to the infobox instead; see "All Mine" for how
"All Mine" doesn't have a music video, "Push 2 Start" does. dxneo (talk) 19:19, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You can add mv and lyric vid to infobox; see "Follow God". --K. Peake 14:09, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
