Recheck list/wikified

Hi-Even if the merger takes place or not, this list has to be recheck and wikified. We need to see how many articles on this list were or were not started. As of right now this list is confusing. Thank you-RFD (talk) 10:11, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

An additional comment-I am concern about some of the entries on the list like Paoli, Wisconsin, etc. and if the spellings, etc. are related to Peoria. There is a list about Paoli. Oppose. Because Peoria, Arizona currently has both a greater population and larger area than the city in Illinois, I would prefer to error on the side of WP:NOPRIMARY in regards to long-term significance. Zzyzx11 (talk) 20:45, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Support - Peoria, Illinois is certainly the intended target for people looking this up. The expression "Will it play in Peoria?" is likely the main reason that people refer to the city or look it up at all, which is believed to relate to the city in Illinois. There is an argument to be made that Peoria, Arizona has a larger population, but it was named for the original city in Illinois. There are multiple cities named Los Angeles and Las Vegas and, although population is the biggest reason for those not having to specify the state, these are affected by their cultural impact.
