Please add details of Cawthorn's guilty plea to the "Firearms at airports" section of the article.

Madison Cawthorne rear ends highway patrol car (April 2024)

[edit]

Hello there,

I'd like to suggest an addition to the 'driving offenses' section of the article. Madison Cawthorne was recently involved in an at-fault car crash in Florida. See link below

Cousin

[edit]

The section “Circulation of nude video” implies that the video involved a “friend”…but Cawthorn confirmed it was his cousin: https://abc7chicago.com/amp/madison-cawthorn-tape-cousin-video/11820417/

> "This video is just stupid locker room talk between two cousins that grew up like brothers," Cawthorn said in a video posted to his social media pages. 76.21.166.207 (talk) 17:56, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This feels like a very noteworthy detail and it should be included in the article. 77.241.232.13 (talk) 08:10, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

FEC fine

[edit]

To add to article. "Former Rep. Madison Cawthorn has paid a $17,458 fine owed to the Federal Elections Commission after violating campaign finance law...Last July, the FEC issued the $17,458 civil penalty against Cawthorn, but Cawthorn left it unpaid for six months. On Feb. 12, he was told he had 30 days to pay or face potential seizure of the money and a possible referral to the Department of Justice." Marquardtika (talk) 02:39, 27 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
