The result of the move request was: moved. Note that there is no consensus against subsequently merging into Joseph McDonald. (closed by non-admin page mover) Bensci54 (talk) 16:54, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

– Among the six men listed upon the Joseph Macdonald (disambiguation) page, the nine-sentence stub for 19th–20th–century politician Joseph Macdonald is not primary over the combined notability of the remaining five men, all of whom use an uppercase "D", thus the dab page main title header should be at "MacDonald", rather than at "Macdonald", which would then necessitate the move of the four-sentence stub Joseph MacDonald to Joseph MacDonald (cinematographer). As for the two Canadian politicians, the lowercase "d" Joseph Macdonald would need to be moved to Joseph Macdonald (politician, born 1863), while the uppercase "D" Joseph MacDonald (politician) would need to move to Joseph MacDonald (politician, born 1824). Also, if consensus were to prefer merging the six-entry Joseph Macdonald (disambiguation) page (created in 2009) into the nine-entry Joseph McDonald disambiguation page (created in 2006), I would support such an alternative option. — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 20:11, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
