This article should adhere to the gender identity guideline because it contains material about one or more trans women. Precedence should be given to self-designation as reported in the most up-to-date reliable sources, anywhere in article space, even when it doesn't match what's most common in reliable sources. Any person whose gender might be questioned should be referred to by the pronouns, possessive adjectives, and gendered nouns (for example "man/woman", "waiter/waitress", "chairman/chairwoman") that reflect that person's latest expressed gender self-identification. Some people go by singular they pronouns, which are acceptable for use in articles. This applies in references to any phase of that person's life, unless the subject has indicated a preference otherwise. Former, pre-transition names may only be included if the person was notable while using the name; outside of the main biographical article, such names should only appear once, in a footnote or parentheses. If material violating this guideline is repeatedly inserted, or if there are other related issues, please report the issue to the LGBTQ+ WikiProject, or, in the case of living people, to the BLP noticeboard. |

Roles
[edit]I think some wording improvements are needed in the Career section. Right now the entire section describes work by Jiggly Caliente, without really separating out the drag persona from Castro-Arabejo's other acting roles. Perhaps we should have a Drag Race subsection specific to Jiggly Caliente? ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:56, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
Filipino? Filipino-American?
[edit]How should we describe the subject? The short description says Filipino and the intro says Filipino-American. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:59, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
Birth name
[edit]I've noticed recent edits to the birth name field in the infobox adding the subject's last-used name in private life.
Per sources like the BBC [1] and The New York Times [2], Jiggly's "offstage" or "real-life" name was Bianca Castro-Arabejo, but this was not her birth name and should not be listed as such.
She did state her birth name, which is now a deadname, in an episode of season 4 of Untucked, and that name was still on her personal Facebook profile [3] at the time of her death. However, since this is a non-notable deadname, it should not go in the article IMO (though I acknowledge that MOS:DEADNAME only discusses living trans people).
I think it's fine to list Bianca Castro-Arabejo in the "other name" field, but since it was not the subject's birth name (and indeed, no RS identifies it as such), it should not go there. Armadillopteryx 04:03, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
What is this guy's real name? Why has this gentleman's real name been censored? I want to know. He choose to be a public person so with that fame and big bucks comes the expectation of certain facts like his real name. - See MOS:DEADNAME, subject wasn't notable under her birth name and so it isn't (and won't be) included in the artcle. Taffer😊💬(she/they) 17:22, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
