As with other standardized tests, how valid & accurate are the Iowa Assessments in measuring student knowledge, critical-thinking skills, & potential for success in either higher education or preparation for entering the labor force? I remember taking the Assessment (or whatever it was called nearly 5 decades ago) in 10th & 11th grade & being told my weakest area was reading comprehension (although I scored in the 80th or 90th percentile), only to take the SAT my senior year (i.e., 12th grade) & get my strongest or 2nd-strongest ranking in reading comp. 69.42.21.9 (talk) 06:41, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
