Should preparations and impacts be together or do we split it?
[edit]Should we split it because I see in some hurricane articles, they have it together, while some have their own sections. Considering the potential impact of this major hurricane, should we have two sections for each one of them? StormHunterBryante5467⛈️ 02:14, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
- I imagine that there will ultimately be enough impacts information to set it off into its own section; no need to do so yet, however. Drdpw (talk) 02:20, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
Different satellite images
[edit]When Erick attained category 2, its appearance was very memorable, a small pin hole eye, abundant rain bands and overall structure. Could someone add that image instead of erick as a tropical storm? 2806:2F0:7061:FCBF:B0C0:37CE:61C7:1F4 (talk) 17:41, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
- The current image is of it as a Category 4 hurricane, not as a tropical storm. ✶Quxyz✶ 23:00, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
- The editor is referring to: File:Erick 2025-06-17 1920Z.jpg, which is an image of Erick as a tropical storm. Drdpw (talk) 23:11, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
Listing of Prep and impact
[edit]Should we not list Central America before Mexico because that region was impacted before Mexico? I would've made the change myself but I didn't want to mess with the images. Shmego2 (talk) 02:02, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
- I've made a WP:BOLD edit since the information was minimal. HurricaneEdgar 06:51, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

Hurricane Erick (2025) → Hurricane Erick – Erick 2025 was the earliest major hurricane to make landfall in Mexico and caused much more damage and deaths than Erick 2013. A strong cat 3 to make landfall in June is much more notable than a cat 1 that stayed just offshore in July. Jpuxfrd (talk) 14:41, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
- Support. Erick '25 has distinguished itself sufficiently to merit the move. Also, there's a fair chance the name John gets retired on account of this storm. Drdpw (talk) 15:06, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
