Spelling

[edit]

I take it "Melanaisna" is the correct spelling since it's repeated, but what language is it? (Is it Pijin for Melanesia?) Thanks, Manytexts (talk) 01:29, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"administered as a provincial town"

[edit]

I asked for a citation here. The French wikipedia article (much briefer than ours) says something quite different, that Honiara constitutes the "Capital Territory" and is not a part of any province. I guess it's possible that whoever wrote "administered as a provincial town" meant to say what the French wiki says, but that's not the normal meaning of the English phrase "provincial town". Article review

[edit]

It has been a while since this article has been reviewed, and I noticed that there are uncited statements and paragraphs, including most of the "Hotels" section. Should this article go to WP:GAR? Z1720 (talk) 03:00, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

There are uncited statements in the article, including entire paragraphs. The "Administrative divisions" table should be updated with the latest population figures. Z1720 (talk) 22:26, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
