How can Eurasia be considered Earth's largest continental landmass in the same paragraph describing Afro-Eurasia " largest contiguous landmass"? Zilch-nada (talk) 18:59, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Eurasia is the largest continental area on Earth, comprising all of Europe and Asia. According to some geographers, physiographically, Eurasia is a single supercontinent."

What does this "the largest continental area" mean? Eurasia is large than the continents of Asia and Europe, but smaller than the landmass of Afro-Eurasia. It is a geographical region which is a part of Afro-Eurasia.

In addition, Eurasia is not a supercontinent. Supercontinent is a geologic term which describes those huge prehistoric landmasses (see supercontinent cycle for further information). 120.16.105.61 (talk) 08:58, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I was just going to comment about that. The source says that some geographers call Eurasia a single continent, not a supercontinent. 2601:644:8184:F2F0:E467:52DA:76EE:B226 (talk) 05:06, 2 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
