Grammar error

[edit]

First paragraph: "While Norris continued acting, friend and student Steve McQueen suggested him to take it seriously." This should read "While Norris continued acting, friend and student Steve McQueen suggested he take it seriously." Source: Master's degree in English, ten years as newspaper editor.

The Finisher

[edit]

In "Rise to fame" under "Acting Career" it says "In October 2014 he revealed that he would be shooting a new film, The Finisher, in March 2015."

The website linked to this as a source is no longer active.

spelling error

[edit]

In the Martial arts knowledge section it reads: "Commandment Gen. James T. Conway making Norris an honorary United States Marines" The correct spelling of the first word is "Commandant" Davepyne (talk) 11:24, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

error is coming from wikidata (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q2673) -- not sure how to fix it there... Random fixer upper (talk) 20:07, 16 September 2023 UTC
As of now (May, 2024), that sentence is no more part of Martial arts knowledge section. Both sentences (in text and in picture caption) in Distinctions, awards, and honors sections are both from article text (not wikidata), and already had correct spelling. Anway, I also corrected the error in caption of the picture in Wikidata. --Marjan Tomki SI (talk) 07:40, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Martial Arts Knowledge Infobox

[edit]

Does the martial arts knowledge section really need an infobox? It also has the same picture as the infobox for the main article with an incorrect caption. Alienmandosaur (talk) 15:51, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

added blank image parameter to infobox to stop image/caption being pulled from wikidata. Random fixer upper (talk) 20:07, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Chuck Norris is not a 9th degree black belt in tang soo do moo duck kwon; he only reached 4th degree; there is only one 9th degree; that was late founder and now his son. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nomad terry (talkcontribs) 10:27, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Max International, LLC

[edit]

How is there no mention of Chuck Norris becoming a spokesperson in 2013 (with his wife) for Max International, LLC — the highly questionable multi-level marketing (MLM) scheme? Given how this is so widely known that talk show host John Oliver cited Chuck & Gena in describing the fraud on national TV, it's worthy of inclusion: {{cite web |last1=Oliver |first1=John |author1-link=John Oliver |title=WATCH: Multilevel Marketing: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver |url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6MwGeOm8iI&t=207s |website=youtube.com |publisher=Last Week Tonight |language=en |format=video |date=November 7, 2016} Theaternearyou (talk) 20:02, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Career: 1958 to 1969 - multiple inconsistencies

[edit]

In the "Career" section for 1958-1969, there are multiple inconsistencies in the final two paragraphs. First, after describing some of his other competitive defeats earlier in the section, it is noted that, "In early 1968, Norris suffered the tenth and final loss of his career, losing an upset decision to Louis Delgado." However, later in the same paragraph it is stated that, "It was the last time Norris participated and retired undefeated." I am not sure how these two statements can be reconciled. Further, the first sentence of the following paragraph then contradicts the statement about his retirement in 1968, "In 1969, during the first weekend of August, Norris defended his title as world champion at the International Karate Championship." While it is possible, of course, to retire and un-retire from a sport, the gap here is only around 9 months. 129.137.96.20 (talk) 13:39, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

CForce Water

[edit]

Should add a section on Norris' CForce Water bottled from an aquifer under his ranch. https://www.cforce.com/about/ 107.130.194.130 (talk) 23:03, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Film History

[edit]

Film History lists Silent rage released in 1982 and Code of Silence Listed released in 1985

These are backwards. Silent Rage was released in 1985, code of silence 1982

Early life inconsistency

[edit]

Norris is described as being the oldest of the three sons, and then the oldest is said to have died in the Vietnam War. Just flagging it. 2601:140:8F00:22BC:39B2:86C9:20D7:C0EF (talk) 18:11, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
