– The basketball player Chris Paul is likely WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Not sure where to move the al-Qaeda militant article to. Please leave your suggestions below. ScarletViolet 14:37, 31 March 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. TarnishedPathtalk 11:28, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with * Pppery *'s suggestion. In suggesting this change I think it is also helpful to note that the militant's actual name is not even Christopher Paul. That is an alias. Donner60 (talk) 04:58, 18 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
WP:COMMONNAME is what matters, not birth name. The Al-Qaeda militant is commonly known as "Christopher Paul", and the basketball player is not. Oppose. 162 etc. (talk) 05:16, 18 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
True about WP:COMMONNAME. That addition to my comment was not really relevant or helpful and should have been omitted. However, I still agree with * Pppery *'s proposal as a better way to disambiguate the two articles rather than the short and long forms of the same name. I suppose a hatnote on each article would also work, for the time being at least, since there are only two articles under consideration. Donner60 (talk) 03:23, 20 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
