Removal of birth name and date of birth

[edit]

I have removed the birth name, date of birth and accompanying "Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997" citation. WP:BLPPRIMARY specifies, "Do not use trial transcripts and other court records, or other public documents, to support assertions about a living person. Do not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth, ..."

We need to have a published, reliable non-primary source for such content. Eddie Blick (talk) 01:46, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

While I could find two sources for her full name (in this case, it's Dualshockers and the McKinney Courier-Gazette via Newspapers.com), I found some sources for her birth date on the DC Douglas Blog (as written by TSG Management) and on the Lionsbane Booking website.
Also according to BLPPRIMARY, "[w]here primary-source material has been discussed by a reliable secondary source, it may be acceptable to rely on it to augment the secondary source, subject to the restrictions of this policy, no original research, and the other sourcing policies". If needed, we can use these links to support the birth index citation. However, if the birth date links are not considered reliable sources, we could always find some other sources via web search or the archives (such as newspaper articles, interviews, obituaries, etc.). Thank you, @Sjones23. I appreciate your comments. Eddie Blick (talk) 02:09, 19 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If she has some "today is my birthday" tweets or social media, those can be used as well. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 02:46, 18 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@AngusWOOF A comment like that would establish the month and day of birth, but the year would still be unknown unless the post included the number of years ("my 34th birthday" or something similar) or the actual year of birth. Eddie Blick (talk) 02:12, 19 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
