Banning books for children is, at worst, a very mild form of "censorship"

[edit]

The article does not differentiate banning books for adults (e.g. Mein Kampf in Germany today) and restricting children's access to some titles. These seem to be two very different scenarios. Pete unseth (talk) 16:41, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It´s not the parents

[edit]

The article says that "In recent years, American parents are beginning to challenge the material that is being taught to their children in these schools." However, American Library Assosiation claims that in 2024 "Pressure groups and government entities that include elected officials, board members, and administrators initiated 72% of demands to censor books in school and public libraries." Parents only initiated 16% of demands. (Source) --Teaparty (talk) 07:24, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
