Article has multiple issues

[edit]

I have tagged this article for clean-up because it has multiple issues.

  1. When I encountered this article it was already flagged that it needed more, (and better), citations. Some places where this is needed had already been tagged, but if one is citing a paper that appears on-line with a DOI reference, at least provide the URL to the DOI reference website using a citation template. Don't just stick the DOI reference, or bare a URL in the citation without linking to it and think that is adequate.
  2. The article asserts that this is a global movement, yet only provides examples from the United States. What is happening in other countries?
  3. Also on the same theme the lead section argues there is a global movement against facial recognition technology but this is extra information that is not covered in the body of the article. See MOS:LEAD for purpose of the lead. It should provide an accessible overview or summary of the whole article. Information in the lead should be expanded upon in the body of the article, too. See WP:LEADFOLLOWSBODY.
