Faris Abdul Hafizh (born 21 July 2003) is an Indonesian professional footballer who plays as a Centre-back for Super League club Persib Bandung.
Club career
[edit]Youth career
[edit]Faris began his football development at local academy SSB Siaga Pratama, followed by TopSkor Indonesia and TIRA-Persikabo U16. He joined Persib Bandung's youth academy in 2020, progressing through the U18 and U20 teams.[1]
He was part of the Persib U18 squad that finished as runners-up in the Elite Pro Academy Liga 1 U18. In 2023, he made 17 appearances for the U20 team and helped them reach the quarterfinals of the EPA U20 competition.[1]
Persib Bandung
[edit]Faris was promoted to the senior team for the 2024–25 Liga 1 season by head coach Bojan Hodak. He was named on the bench once in September 2024 but did not make a league appearance.[2]
Loan to Gresik United
[edit]On 1 January 2025, Faris joined Gresik United on loan for the remainder of the 2024–25 season to gain more match experience.[3]
Style of play
[edit]Faris is a right-footed Centre-back known for his composure, positioning, and aerial ability. He is regarded as a disciplined and tactically aware defender.[4]
