Ali Tajdari

[edit]

Dear Wikipedia Administrators,

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the recent deletion of a Wikipedia article about a highly notable individual who is recognized as a national hero of Iran, as well as a prominent pop singer and actor. This person has met Wikipedia’s notability criteria unequivocally, with a long-standing presence on the platform and numerous reliable sources cited over the years.

It is deeply troubling that the article appears to have been removed not due to a lack of verifiable content or relevance, but seemingly as a result of personal vendettas and targeted harassment by certain individuals on social media—particularly Instagram. There is even direct evidence of threats made by one of these individuals, explicitly stating an intent to have the article deleted from Wikipedia. I am prepared to share these threats with the appropriate administrators, should that be helpful in reviewing the matter.

Wikipedia must remain a neutral and reliable repository of knowledge, free from personal bias and manipulation. It is vital that content based on strong sourcing and notability is not undermined by coordinated campaigns or grudges. Articles that meet the platform’s standards should be protected, not removed due to external pressure or harassment.

I respectfully request that the article in question be restored to its previous state and that page protection be enabled to prevent future abuse or unwarranted edits. Wikipedia should not become a tool for personal agendas, but rather a space where knowledge is curated fairly and transparently.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope you will take this matter seriously and act in defense of the platform’s integrity. Jijijef (talk) 23:14, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the editor who moved your article to draft space; I'm not an administrator. I looked to see who deleted your article and why. Both are well-respected administrators and thought of as honest and neutral. I don't think people on Instagram making threats have much influence here. I'd take the admins' and other editors' comments here at face value. --A. B. (talkcontribsglobal count) 01:02, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, and thank you.
However, it’s important to note that a person on Instagram explicitly threatened to have this article deleted — and the article was, in fact, deleted around the same time. Shortly after, the same individual mockingly posted: “See? We deleted his biography.”
I’m sharing the link to the post where these threats were made and then seemingly carried out. If needed, please send me an email address so I can also provide screenshots of the comments under that post.

Additionally, I improved the article myself — some links were broken and I removed them, while adding reliable sources in their place. The article didn’t seem to have serious issues, in my opinion. While the subject has a broad and multifaceted career, and the article could certainly be expanded further, the current content at least presents essential and verifiable information about this person. Given that the article was initially moved due to copyright concerns, I have thoroughly rewritten the entire text to ensure it is original, more neutral, and free of errors. Additionally, I have removed broken links and added several reliable sources to strengthen the article’s references. The article’s structure has been reorganized, and minor issues have been addressed to improve clarity and coherence.
If the article now meets Wikipedia’s content and style guidelines, I kindly request its restoration to the main article space.
