Neutrality concerns addressed

[edit]

I’ve copyedited the article to remove promotional language and improve tone. If there are any remaining neutrality issues, please outline them below for review or adjust the draft directly. HerBauhaus (talk) 08:46, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Paywalled sources

[edit]

I’ve found NZZ articles behind a paywall that could strengthen ARIS’s notability:

@Toadspike: With your access to paywalled Swiss sources, could you please add citation details here or add the sources directly into the draft? Thank you! HerBauhaus (talk) 09:20, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, working on it... Toadspike [Talk] 11:27, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@HerBauhaus The first one isn't super helpful here – it's talking about one student's experience with the group, but since the student doesn't seem notable herself (yet) I'm not sure what to say about it. It also talks about a competition in New Mexico in 2022 (maybe the Spaceport America Cup listed here?), but the details don't match: The article says their rocket had to reach 10,000m in altitude, while the competition results say the ETH Zürich team went for 30,000m. Really baffling.
The other article is very solid, describes this group in detail and is certainly GNG-quality. I'm working on summarizing some of it to add to the article. Toadspike [Talk] 12:47, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I've included everything worth including from the NZZ article. There are some other sources out there, such as
  • [1] and [2] from 20 Minuten
  • "An Raketen-Weltrekord ist Brugger Firma beteiligt", 11.02.2022. This is a syndicated piece available online here [3].
  • [4] Südostschweiz
  • "Ein Student zündet den Turbo", Appenzeller Zeitung, 30.12.2020. This is a feature piece about a local student, so probably (like the first NZZ article you linked) not so useful. Also appears in the Tagblatt here [5].
  • There is an interview with Adrian Fuhrer, an Aris student, syndicated in a bunch of Tamedia papers under various headlines. Here's an online link from the Tagi [6]
  • "Schülerinnen und Schüler beliefern Raketenbauer", Südostschweiz. Available online here [7].
  • Brief mention of Aris alumna Rabea Rogge here [8] in Die Weltwoche. There is a similar mention of Aris in this Tagi article [9].
  • Interview in Watson, now a dead link but thankfully archived here [10].
  • Rocket launch report [11] from Südostschweiz
I think that's it – all of the (potentially) useful sources I can find. Since it's clearly notable, I'd accept this myself, but due to its history of COI editing I'll leave that for a reviewer for someone who hasn't worked on the article yet. Toadspike [Talk] 14:23, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Science and technology topics in Switzerland are so much fun! Thank you for your quick and thorough response to my ping. Your careful assessment of the sources and the additions you’ve made have significantly strengthened the draft. Much appreciated. HerBauhaus (talk) 14:46, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
