Draft:Singapore Arrival Card

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The SG Arrival Card is a digital entry requirement for most travellers arriving in Singapore. Managed by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), it replaces the disembarkation/embarkation card previously completed in paper form.[1]

Background

[edit]

The SG Arrival Card was first trialled in 2019 for selected transport modes and became mandatory in 2020 amid COVID-19 border health measures.[2] It replaced the “white card” disembarkation form and introduced electronic submission of personal, travel, and health information.

In 2023, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung stated that the SG Arrival Card would be retained permanently for disease surveillance and to reduce the risk of imported infections.[3][4]

Requirements

[edit]

Submission is required for most travellers entering Singapore by air, sea, or land, within three days before arrival. Exemptions include:

  • Passengers transiting through Singapore without immigration clearance;
  • Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders entering by land at Woodlands or Tuas.[5]

Submission

[edit]

Travellers may submit the SG Arrival Card via the ICA website or the MyICA mobile app. The process is free and requires information such as passport details, trip itinerary, and a health declaration.[6]

Scams and warnings

[edit]

Authorities have warned of fake SG Arrival Card websites charging unauthorized fees or harvesting personal information. The ICA maintains that submissions should only be made through its official portals.[7]
