Samson Olaolu Odo (born September 8, 1997) is a Nigerian AI developer, systems architect, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of NodeShift Nigeria, a software development company focused on AI solutions for African markets, and has contributed to policy discussions on AI governance in Nigeria.
Early life and education
[edit]Odo was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He earned a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Calabar in 2021, where he developed an interest in systems thinking and behavioral economics. He has also completed professional certifications in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity from institutions such as IBM and Google.
Career
[edit]In 2024, Odo founded NodeShift Nigeria, a company developing AI systems for education and urban development in Africa.[1] As Chief Technology Officer, he oversees projects related to AI infrastructure and governance. He has published research on AI governance, including the Nigerian Ethical AI Framework (NEAIF) (2025) and Neurix: A Modular Agent-Oriented Framework (2025).[2]
In 2025, he was appointed a strategic adviser at Etheon Collective, an Abuja-based systems research group. Odo authored a TechCabal editorial, "The Invisible Walls Stunting African Startups" (2025), advocating for cross-sector collaboration to address systemic barriers in African innovation ecosystems.[3]
