Draft:National Literary Awards

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The National Literary Awards are annual literary awards conferred by the Pakistan Academy of Letters for books in several Pakistani languages. First awarded in 1981, prizes were originally conferred for best books in Urdu, English, Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashto, Balochi, and Saraiki. These have since expanded to include Hindko, Brahui, and an award for literary translation.[1][2][3]

Awards are decided by a three-member jury, and recipients receive a monetary prize (Rs 2,00,000 as of 2025).[1]
