Comment: "Recipients" unsourced, most sources are "X won this award" not significant coverage about award itself. GoldRomean (talk) 04:04, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
The Marshall McLuhan Fellowship is one of the most prestigious recognitions for a Filipino journalist. Named after Marshall McLuhan, Canadian philosopher whose work is among the cornerstones of the study of media theory, the award is given annually by the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines from a shortlist submitted by the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility.[1]
The chosen fellow travels to various cities in Canada and the Philippines to conduct a lecture series for various colleges and universities.[2]
The first Marshall McLuhan fellow has been awarded annually since 1997 except in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[2]
