Comment: There is not enough coverage to justify standalone article. I suggest that the contents of this article can be merged into the Espérance Sportive de Tunis where Louis Montassier served as the first president. WeWake (talk) 17:40, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Nationality | French |
Occupation | Secretary of the central administration of the Tunisian government |
Louis Montassier was a French figure active in the French protectorate in Tunisia.
Career
[edit]Secretary of the central administration of the Tunisian government[1], he was the first president of Espérance Sportive de Tunis from January 1919 to June 1919.[2][3]
Indeed, the authorization for the sports club depended on the appointment of a Frenchman to the board of directors, in accordance with the legislation in force at the time [4], which went against the founders' project to create an Arab-Muslim association.[1] Furthermore, Montassier conditioned his entry into the board on his appointment as president[1]. However, as soon as the legislation changed, Mohamed Malki replaced him.[1]
