Comment: Lead reads promotionally, and there is some questionable wording throughout. The third paragraph of section La Voz Perú is completely off-topic. Interviews are primary sources. I've also marked dead links. mwwv converse∫edits 21:21, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

Double Dragon Twins is a Peruvian musical duo, YouTubers, and social media influencers composed of twin sisters Andrea and Irene Ramos. They gained international visibility after appearing on season 15 of America's Got Talent in 2020, where they advanced to the semifinals.[2] Beyond talent competitions, the duo have released original music, performed on national television in Peru, and amassed millions of followers on social media platforms.[3]
Biography
[edit]Andrea and Irene Ramos were born on 18 March 1988 in Lima, Peru. They began performing at the age of 8 on the Peruvian children’s television show De Colores.[2]
Their early rise in the peruvian national spotlight began with appearances on local television talent shows, including the 2012 program Divas on América Televisión, where they competed as a duo and were crowned winners.[4]
In 2004, Irene won the national singing competition Desafío de Estrellas, while Andrea was selected for a five-member girl group through the televised talent show Pop tu Show.[5] In 2014, both sisters auditioned individually for the first season of La Voz Perú. Irene performed “Fallin’” by Alicia Keys and joined the team of José Luis Rodríguez "El Puma", while Andrea performed “Greatest Love of All” by Whitney Houston and selected Eva Ayllón as her coach.[6] Though neither advanced to the finals, they later found greater success as a duo.
On 25 April 2012, twin sisters Andrea and Irene Ramos were crowned the winners of the reality show Dos para las siete, broadcast on América Televisión. In a thrilling finale, the duo was declared the official Divas of Peru by a juror consisting of Jessica Newton, Jon Secada, and Eva Ayllón.
Their victory sparked emotional celebrations, especially from their mother Ethel Aldana and their coach Érika Villalobos, who joined them in tears of joy. The sisters were also supported by their personal trainer Jonathan Chávez and a group of close friends.
The twins expressed gratitude to their fans and signaled their ambitions beyond Peru: "It's time to think about internationalization, because no one can stop us now.[7]
In 2016, the twins—now performing under the stage name Double Dragon—released their debut single “A Fuego Lento,” composed by Alex Muñoz – Agapito and produced by FMO Estudios. The romantic ballad showcased their vocal strength and emotional range. Other releases include "Vamos a la pista de baile" and "Qué ingrato amor."[8] They also gained popularity on YouTube for Spanish-language mashups and covers of English pop songs, including a viral 2016 rendition of “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus.[5]
Their 2020 audition on America's Got Talent season 15 marked a major international breakthrough. Performing “It’s Raining Men,” they impressed judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel with their energy, harmonies, and stage presence—earning unanimous votes to advance.[9] Their participation was also a tribute to their late father, Percy Ramos, fulfilling a promise made before his passing.[8] Simon Cowell praised their emotional reaction as "almost better than the performance itself," while Sofía Vergara applauded their vibrant charisma.
Currently based in San Francisco, California, the sisters continue to develop their musical career under the independent label LossLess Records, blending Latin roots with contemporary pop and urban influences.[8] They maintain an active presence on social media, particularly Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, where they regularly share performance clips, bilingual covers, and behind-the-scenes content with their growing international audience.[2][5]

They performed a mashup of "Bang Bang" and "Taki Taki" in the quarterfinals and advanced to the semifinals.[6] In the semifinal round, they sang “Juice” by Lizzo and “Mi Gente” by J Balvin but were eliminated before reaching the finals.[11]
Music Career and Déjame

In 2017, the sisters emigrated to the United States, following a family reunification process through their father, a naturalized U.S. citizen. They continued performing locally while preparing original music and auditioning for international competitions.[14]
