Dananeer Mobeen (born 27 December 2001) is a Pakistani social media influencer, and actress. Early life and education
[edit]Dananeer was born in Islamabad to a Pakistan Army family. Her father served as a doctor in the army. She completed her schooling from Roots Millennium School, Khyber Campus, and later obtained a degree in Film and Digital Art.[2]
Career
[edit]Prior to her viral fame, Dananeer had been active on social media since 2017, creating content related to beauty, lifestyle, and travel.[2]
In February 2021, Dananeer uploaded a Instagram video while on a trip to the northern areas of Pakistan. The clip quickly went viral across social media platforms.[4] The video was widely shared across social media, and many actors from both the Bollywood and Pakistani entertainment industries appreciated it and recreated their own versions, further fueling its popularity.[5][4][6] It was widely remixed, including by Indian music producer Yashraj Mukhate. She became popularly known as the "Pawri Girl".[7] She later signed multiple brand deals with companies such as Sunsilk and frequently appeared in television interviews and campaigns.
In 2021, she was named a brand ambassador for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League, joining public figures like Mahira Khan and Esra Bilgiç.[8]
Dananeer made her television debut in the Hum TV drama serial Sinf-e-Aahan (2021–2022), in which she portrayed the character of Syeda Sidra.[9] The drama focused on women cadets in the Pakistan Military Academy.[10]
In 2023, she played a lead role in Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri as Zobi parallel to Khushhal Khan.[11] She later featured in television series named Very Filmy.[12] She also played a lead role in Meem Se Mohabbat opposite to Ahad Raza Mir.[13]
