Càrn Dearg [Gàidhlig (Scottish Gaelic) for 'red cairn')][1] [Pronunciation: KARN-jerr-ik][2] is a mountain near Beinn Eallair (Ben Alder) in the highlands of Scotland. It is 1034[3] metres high, with a prominence of 158[3] metres. It is classed as a Munro, Murdo, Marylin, Simm, HuMP and TuMP.
Càrn Dearg is the northeasternmost peak[4] in the Geal-Charn mountain ridge, which lies between Allt a' Bhealaich Bheithe [the headwater of Abhainn Lòchaidh (River Lochy)] and the tributary Allt Cam. Càrn Dearg overlooks Loch Pattack which lies to the northeast. The Culra bothy lies at its foot.[2] Loch Ereachd (Loch Ericht) is visible from the summit.
Diollaid a' Chairn (Height 922m) lies between Càrn Dearg and Geal-Charn. Loch Coire Cheap and Loch an Sgòir lie on either side of the col.[4]
