Benjamin Mazzeo (born 12 July 2005) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Melbourne City FC in the A-League Men.[1]
Club career
[edit]Mazzeo joined the Melbourne City Academy in 2018 and signed his first senior contract in 2023.[2] On 8 November 2023, Mazzeo made his first-team debut in a 2023–24 AFC Champions League match against Buriram United at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium as a substitue in the 81st minute.[3] City lost the match 0–1.[4] Mazzeo made his league debut on 25 November 2023 against Wellington Phoenix in Auckland.[5] He scored his first goal for the club in his starting debut against Newcastle Jets the following week.[6][7]
Mazzeo scored a 65th minute winner against Brisbane Roar on 11 January 2025.[8][9] He finished the 2024–25 regular season with 11 appearances and 2 goals, in what was an injury-riddled season.
