[edit]- ^ Masini Situ-Kumbanga (born 21 October 1955) made his debut for the Congo (then Zaire) at the inaugural 1983 World Championships in Athletics, finishing 13th in his 1500 m heat and 12th in his 5000 m heat.[1] The following year, he finished 12th in the fourth 1984 Olympic 5000 m heat, and started but did not finish the Olympic marathon.[2][3] In April 1987, Situ-Kumbanga won a bronze medal in the 3000 metres steeplechase at the 1987 Central African Games.[4] Later that year, he competed at his second World Championships in Athletics, finishing 16th in his 5000 m heat.[5]
