Zafar Iqbal Marwat is a serving two-star general in the Pakistan Army, currently serving as the Director General of Armoured Corps at Arms Branch at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi.

Military career

Marwat was commissioned in 11 Cavalry through 83 PMA Long Course in 1993.

He was promoted to the rank of Major General from Brigadier in 2019.[1]

He is currently serving as Director General Armoured corps at arms branch at General Headquarters of Pakistan Army in Rawalpindi.

In July 2022, he also served as General Officer Commanding during Pak-Saudi Joint Mechanized Training.[2]

He has been awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz for his service in the army from the President of Pakistan, Arif Ali.[3]
