Wu Xihua

Wu Xihua (Chinese: 吴喜铧, born in January 1968), a native of Macheng, Hubei Province, is a Chinese military Major General.

Biography

He completed his education at Huanggang Middle School in 1986 and thereafter enlisted in the People's Liberation Army. He served for an extensive duration in the former Second Artillery Corps (now the Rocket Force) and occupied several roles, including Deputy Director of the Emergency Office of the former General Staff Department.[1]

He was elevated to the rank of Major General on July 31, 2017. In the winter of 2019, he was designated as Commander of the Fujian Provincial Military District.[2] Since 2020, he has simultaneously held the position of a member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and served as Commander of the Fujian Military District.[3][4] Wu Xihua is a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress and formerly served as a delegate to the 13th Fujian Provincial People's Congress.[5]
