Dinosaur (Pigeon Statue)
[edit]Dinosaur (Pigeon Statue) awaits approval or deletion, if any project members are interested in weighing in. Thanks! GothicArchitecture1996 (talk) 06:06, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- Not to get too into the weeds here, but I think the title needs to change - "Dinosaur (Pigeon Statue)" doesn't make sense based on the MOS, should it not be something more direct like "Dinosaur (Argote)"? I also don't really understand why there's so much information about Tina Trachtenburg; this article is about the sculpture, not about the culture around pigeons in New York. A bit of background on why pigeons are culturally significant in the city is certainly warranted, but adding biographical info about or a photo of a local performer who has no real connection to the work seems like a stretch. Happy to help more on the talk page if you'd like additional feedback. 19h00s (talk) 13:20, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
Dinolandia -- sculpture?
[edit]I've created an article about the art project and pop-up museum Dinolandia, which included many displays of dinosaurs painted on plywood. I'm not sure if I should be including sculpture-related categories for this entry. The figures are thin wood, but they are spaced and layered to give depth. I've asked on the talk page if this should be considered sculpture, if any project members are interested in weighing in. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:43, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- I looked at some pictures and I'm quite unsure.★Trekker (talk) 08:50, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

- My concern would be that mad scientist with a time machine. Not a good combination. Randy Kryn (talk) 12:58, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- See also: Portland Aquarium (art installation), which has a collection of hand-painted and digitally printed plywood artworks. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:43, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
