Discussion regarding whether alumni editors have a COI
[edit]There is an ongoing discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#California State University, Northridge (more broadly: do alumni have COI?) that may be of interest to members of this WikiProject. Any input you can provide would be appreciated. Namelessposter (talk) 16:30, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
Malvern College GA candidate
[edit]Of interest to UK users: The Malvern College article lost its GA status due to an accumulation of inappropriate content over the yeats, and partly some out of date sources. The article has been heavily reworked and is again awaiting for a new GA review. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:09, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
POV edits on Madison West High School
[edit]Hi all,
I would really appreciate some more involved eyes here. There is a particular editor who has been engaged in a low-level edit war for the last couple months on this article, repeatedly inserting sources and commentary that violate the NPOV. They are not out and out reverting and violating 3RR, but seem unwilling to accept that their edits are contrary to policy. The article San Marcos Baptist Academy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Tagged as Unreferenced and unimproved for 14 years. I removed the Copyright violation of the entire words of its song. Small school without assertions of notability. Page tone is promotional. WP:TNT.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bearian (talk) 19:42, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Individual high school athletic sports teams
[edit]I've already asked about Amundsen Girls Soccer at WT:FOOTY#Amundsen Girls Soccer, but I'm wondering if anyone from this WikiProject remembers coming across any high school sports teams which have stand-alone articles which have made a reasonable claim for notability per WP:NTEAM, regardless of sport or whether it's a boys' or girls' team. I know individual student-athletes are covered by WP:NHSPHSATH, but I'm wondering about individual teams. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:54, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
Request to re-review promotional tag - Chesterbrook Academy
[edit]Hello editors,
I’ve made several edits to address the
![]() | This article contains promotional content. |
tag currently on the Chesterbrook Academy article. Specifically, I have:
- Revised language to ensure a neutral point of view
- Removed subjective or marketing-style phrases
- Added inline citations from reliable, third-party sources
If any further improvements are needed, I’m happy to make additional changes. Otherwise, I’d appreciate a second look to determine if the promotional tag can be removed.
Thank you!
