Request help naming a new article on Bavaria during the Weimar Republic

[edit]

I'm about ready to publish a new article on the (mostly political) history of Bavaria during the Weimar Republic and am not sure what to name it. "Bavaria (1918–1933)"? "Bavaria in the Weimar Republic"? "History of Bavaria (1918–1933)"? "History of Bavaria in the Weimar Republic"? Any of the above with "Free State of Bavaria"?

Any help / suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks. GHStPaulMN (talk) 21:04, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Pomerania proper has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Tagged as Unreferenced and unimproved for over 15 years. No other language has an article from which to translate. Personal essay.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello everyone,

I have updated the article on the German film producer Gian-Piero Ringel:

Gian-Piero Ringel

The article is based on verifiable sources and follows the style of comparable biographies in the "Film Producer" category. I would appreciate a review, feedback, or any suggestions for improvement. Many thanks!

Discussion on the fate of WikiProject Prussia at the talk page of WPFC

[edit]

Currently, there are a few options floating around. Nobody wants it to die, and it seems most want this to become a task force in WikiProject Germany instead of WIkiProject Former countries.
My original idea, however, was just that; to transform WikiProject Prussia into a task force within WikiProject Former countries. Please discuss about it there, if you want to weigh into the discussion. Thanks, wikipedia-kxeon  mailbox 17:55, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Need a German fluent editor to talk to a new user

[edit]

Hello! I was recently approached by a new user, EineGroßeDecke222. They wanted some help with getting used to Wikipedia, however they mentioned that they had to use Google Translate to post in English on my page. I took some German in high school, however I am nowhere near knowledgeable enough to converse with someone, particularly when it comes to the ins and outs of Wikipedia.

Can someone help them out? I recommended that since they're using Google Translate, that it would be better if for the time being they helped more on the back end (finding sourcing and so on) rather than directly editing articles. Google Translate has improved greatly, but it still has some grammatical and translation errors at times. I also recommended that they look into editing the German Wikipedia as well.
