Runners-up

Hi! We had this discussion a while back on the snooker WikiProject, and it applies here too. On player biographies, under rankings finals, it'll say the word "runners-up" and then a number. This shows how many events they lost in the final. The word "runners-up" only means when there are multiple runner-up places, such as if a final had four participants, it does not mean the plural of being a runner-up.

I would suggest removing this, as all of the information is already in the table, and just have "PDC major finals: 7 (5 titles)", or even "Five PDC major titles (from seven finals)" or similar. Lee Vilenski ^{(talk • contribs)} 22:09, 2 March 2025 (UTC)

World Masters in infobox

Noticed an edit to Thibault Tricole that added his 2025 PDC World Masters preliminary round result to his infobox. Is this necessary? PDC World Championship prelim best results are listed as "Last 72" but those seem different considering they were played on the main stage in conjunction with the tournament proper. Summaries

I'm open to feedback on the edits I've made to the 2025 Belgian Darts Open. The European Tour articles can be quite barren so I've added a summary, utilising sources that otherwise could not be cited as they previously wouldn't work context-wise. Greenflipper (talk) 01:45, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

If you’re happy to do summaries and they’re well cited, I think that improves the quality of the page. It adds overall verifiability and overall substance to the page. DartsF4 (talk) 12:49, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

Creating a PDC Secondary Tours page?

Hi! I've been slowly editing the PDC Order of Merit page recently cause it needed a tidy and some updating. While I was doing it, I thought there should probably be a page covering the secondary tours. I'm not sure a dedicated page for each one would be "notable enough" but I think one that collates everything and offers links out could be useful. Would there be interest in me slowly drafting this if/when I get time? Being relatively new to editing I don't want to start making it if people don't feel this would be notable enough to make but I think there's probably enough secondary-source coverage of it (particularly from the Sky Sports News and DartsNews websites, but also from larger news sources for Noa-Lynn and Beau's CT wins) to accompany the primary sources.

I envisage it having larger sections for Challenge Tour, Dev Tour and Women's Series (directing to main article), with brief history (including Tour winners), player eligibility, current prize money, qualification routes to TV majors, Tour Cards and Q-school. I'd also suggest a section for affiliate tours with less detail. Any thoughts? PaisleyJesus (talk) 13:46, 1 July 2025 (UTC)

It's probably something we should've done already, I've always found it annoying having to link to specific Pro Tour years when referring to e.g. the Challenge Tour in a sentence. I'll watchlist it once you start drafting it Greenflipper (talk) 14:01, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
