Band member name change

[edit]

The lead singer of Tapir!, Evelyn Gray, recently changed their name, but due to the sheer number of articles about the band that specifically mention them (by their deadname, since the change is very recent), I'm not sure if they qualify for "Unless a living transgender or non-binary person was notable (by Wikipedia's standards) under a former name (a deadname), the former name should not be included in any page" from MOS:DEADNAME - they fall in a gray (ha) area where I'm not sure if they would be notable in this context under their deadname. Should their deadname be included in a footnote, or should it be avoided entirely? Suntooooth, it/he (talk/contribs) 19:27, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
