This course is an introduction to political science research methods, an information literacy course, and a quantitative reasoning course. More specifically, however, the course's aim is to help students learn to teach themselves about public affairs using reliable information. Students will choose a topic (any topic) that they believe will help make them a more "informed citizen" and research that topic throughout the semester, comparing news sources, government sources, NGO sources, and scholarly sources on their topic. The final project would be to edit one or more Wikipedia articles on their topic of interest.
