Developmental Biology covers a broad understanding of how an organism changes from a single cell to a mature adult. We will cover developmental biology in 3 units. 1) Cell Biology - understanding cell-cell signaling pathways, structure, and communication. 2) Across phyla - understand developmental strategies from different parts of the evolutionary tree. 3) vertebrate development with a focus on human systems and disease.
