- Propose merging Template:Ethnic London sidebar into Template:AsiansinUK.
- Navboxify per WP:LEADSIDEBAR and WP:TFD#REASONS #2. The Template:AsiansinUK is far better designed, transcluded and positioned for the purpose that Template:Ethnic London sidebar is trying to serve, but does very poorly. History of African presence in London is already in Template:Black British topics, and might also be added to Template:AfricansinUK, while Chuts is already in Template:History of the Jews in England. The article Romani people never mentions "London" (except as publication place of some sources, but obviously that doesn't count). - Disagree with merging not only because of other potential topics from non-Asian groups, but also Turkish community of London is there. Turkey is partly in Europe (Istanbul, the largest city, is mostly in Europe and partly in Asia, and there are other major Turkish cities in Europe including Edirne and Tekirdag). The scope of the article also includes Turkish Cypriots, and Cyprus (the whole island) is associated with Europe even though several sources geographically place it in Asia.
- I checked the UK Government page on racial/ethnic classifications. Turkish people are not listed on this page, but Arabs (many have origins on the Asian continent but some originate from the African continent) are listed under "Other ethnic group" and not "Asian or Asian British".
- The scope of the London template is any ethnic group in London, not only those classified as "Asian" by UK government authorities.

Templates should not be used to create lists of links to other articles when a category, list page, or "See also" section list can perform the same function.
But List of Norwegians and Category:Lists of Norwegian people already perform the same function. - WP:WTAF WP:CREATEFIRST & WP:EXISTING 7 out of 16 links are red.
- WP:NAV-WITHIN:
Every article listed on a particular navigation template generally has the template placed on its page.
But it is transcluded in only 2 pages, so for the remaining 7 blue links, this whole template is useless for navigation. - WP:LEADSIDEBAR: having leadsidebars is discouraged in general, so unless there is a good reason, they should be removed. NLeeuw (talk) 17:16, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
