I've nominated Lydia Canaan for Featured Article status. I welcome any constructive feedback or editing assistance if it's not up to snuff. Mesoutopia (talk) 16:45, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose I am afraid the article just isn't up to standard as it stands and is, in places, reliant on unreliable sources. There are citation needed tags, bits of SYNTH and a lot of citation bombing going on.
Mesoutopia, I presume you were editing as the active IP on the page recently? (Which is absolutely fine, absolutely no problems at all - just checking that you are the person who has been busy editing it, rather than just being a drive-by nominator). - SchroCat (talk) 17:40, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Here's a list of the things about the sourcing that I think need to be fixed before a future FAC: - Grumpylawnchair (talk) 19:42, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
    • Remove reference to Discogs, per WP:DISCOGS - it has been deemed unreliable by the community in multiple RfCs
    • Try to replace the YouTube sources with more reliable sources as much as possible
    • Add timestamps to the YouTube refs you absolutely cannot replace

This clearly isn't likely to achieve a consensus to promote as it stands, so I am archiving to allow improvements to be made off-FAC. The usual two-week hiatus will apply. Gog the Mild (talk) 20:42, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
