The Waiotahe River (formerly known as the Waiotahi River) is a river of the Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand's North Island. It flows north from its origins west of Oponae and east of Matahi to reach the Bay of Plenty 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Ōpōtiki.[1]

On 27 August 2015 the historical name error "Waiotahi" was corrected to the original Māori name "Waiotahe".[2]
