Vietnam Aviation Academy (abbreviated VAA, Vietnamese: Học Viện Hàng Không Việt Nam) is a public university in Vietnam that specializes in aviation and related disciplines. Operated by the Ministry of Construction, it is one of the country’s foremost institutions for training professionals in civil aviation, engineering, and management.[1][2]
Founded on March 24, 1979, as the School for Aviation Officers and Technical Training, the institution was elevated to academy status on July 17, 2006. Since then, it has officially offered higher education programs specializing in various fields of civil aviation. Throughout the years, VAA has developed into a multidisciplinary university that integrates fields such as engineering, economics, and tourism to align with the evolving needs of the global aviation industry.
The academy has two campuses in Ho Chi Minh City, located in Tân Bình District and Phú Nhuận District. It also has a campus in Cam Ranh, Khánh Hòa Province, near an international airport hub. It offers bachelor's degrees in air traffic management, tourism and travel service management, air transport economics, aeronautical engineering, civil engineering technology, electronics and telecommunications engineering, information technology, business administration, and English language.
